The Board of Advisors consists of:

Raghu Rau, Ph.D.
 
Dr. Rau is the Sir Evelyn de Rothschild Professor of Finance at Cambridge University. He has also taught at Purdue University, UCLA, and most recently at the University of California, Berkeley. From 2008 to 2009, Dr. Rau was a principal at Barclays Global Investor in San Francisco.
 
Dr. Rau’s research interests include asset pricing, behavioral finance, and corporate finance. He has published papers in The Journal of Finance, The Review of Financial Studies, and The Journal of Financial Economics, among others. His research has been quoted by the Wall Street Journal, Economist, New York Times, Financial Times, Forbes, Smartmoney, NPR, and CNBC, and USA Today.
 
Dr. Rau received his Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Management from INSEAD. He also received an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management and a B.Sc. from the University of Delhi.

Nicolae Garleanu, Ph.D

Dr. Nicolae Garleanu is the Paul H. Stephens Chair in Applied Investments and an Associate Professor of Finance at the Haas School of Business. His research covers a broad range of topics in finance including theoretical asset pricing, where he concentrates on liquidity issues and on using economy-wide consumption and investment patterns to explain the main properties of the returns of major asset classes, such as stocks and bonds.

His works are published in leading journals in finance and economics such as Econometrica, the Journal of Finance, the Journal of Financial Economics, and the Review of Financial Studies. Furthermore, in recognition of his excellent contributions to the field of finance he has received the NYSE Award for the best paper on equity trading and the Utah Graham and Dodd Award of Excellence.

Dr. Garleanu received his PhD in Finance from Stanford University after graduating Summa Cum Laude with an MA from the University of Pennsylvania in the field of Mathematics. Before joining the Haas School of business Dr. Garleanu was an assistant professor at the both The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and INSEAD.
